The Hottest Highlighter of The Summer

I usually don't always give into the latest beauty trend products but this beautiful Becca Highlighter by Jaclynn Hill In Champagne Pop caught my attention.  Especially when I saw the beautiful pictures of Jaclyn Hill wearing it.

 As a professional makeup artist I know exactly what I'm looking for in a product.  I always am in the market for a good highlighter and I've tried many.  Many are good but they always lacked something.  Intrigued, I decided to just order it on a whim.  

I ordered my Becca Highlighter on Sephora.com in the color Champagne Pop.  Within a few days I received it.  They have various colors available however this particular shade is the most popular and compliments various skin tones.  

Packaging was not the strongest point here but that was not a huge deal because everybody knows it's what's on the inside that matters! ;) And my oh my the highlighter skin perfecter seriously is like the most beautiful shimmery champagney, gold tone there is.  I tried it out first by swatching it on the back of my hand and loved it.  I knew then I couldn't WAIT to try it on with a fresh makeup application.  

Once I wore it I thought it was perfect.  It gives you a beautiful glow that is truly effortless.  The trick here is to apply highlight on the high planes of your face.  For example cheek bones, bridge of nose and cupids bow.  It's ideal to use a fan brush for an application like this.  I was so impressed.  The highlight is a pressed powder but it goes on beautifully and feels silky, light and luxurious on.  

Im wearing Champagne Pop in the picture above.  I truly felt like a golden goddess! Much deserved for this mommy, I'd say! ;) I kept my makeup light with warm color on my eyes and to give me an extra glow I mixed my MAC Matchmaster foundation with Laura Mercier's Radiance Primer (which is amaze balls)!  I absolutely did NO contour whatsoever and just highlighted those cheekbones.  My blush is MACs Sunbasque. 

My take on the Becca Highlighter by Jaclyn Hill is definitely two thumbs up.  It's a staple product to have in your makeup bag and to add it to your makeup routine.  It's absolutely gorgeous and you will love it.  It's the hottest highlighter of the Summer and I'm so glad I get to rock it! :D
